I was recently invited to lead a day-long introduction on Spiritual Psychology at a local hospital.
At the end of the day, one of the counselors came up to me asking some questions and I could tell she wanted to share her experience.
She said that when people are sick or at the end of their lives it seems easier to drop all the expectations and the barriers between us and really connect with them Soul to Soul.
She said, “Why don’t we do that with our families and clients every day?”
She was thrilled that this approach gave her a way to have a deeper connection with the REAL NEEDS of the person she was working with and right away.
This training reminded her of why she became a counselor in the first place.
She was grateful that I had helped her get back on track of what was really important in her life.
I was so touched and knew what she was saying was true.
It is so easy to get distracted and forget what is REAL.
We don’t need to wait until someone is sick or dying to have this Soulful experience.
